5, 6, 7, 8!

I've just finished this movie poster for a short film created by the Edinburgh based 'Debasers Filums' for there upcoming work entitled 5, 6, 7, 8! It was a pretty fun project to work on, since it gave me something a little different to do and was interesting to work a 50's dance theme into the poster. The film is going to be crowdfunded, meaning the poster and other materials will be given out to people who donate funding to the production, I'll post the details and links on that when I have them.

Some Finished Pages For You...

I'll be getting off my lazy arse from now on and getting my online comic done regularly, promise. The comic is called 'The Egg Crushers Children', written by my pal Chris McCance and drawn by me, it's going to have it's own site eventually, but for now i'll just be uploading the pages on here. so if you like stories monsters, mythical creatures and child soldiers (among other things) check it out, more coming very soon.

Hot Tips

these illustrations are for a booklet on adult literacy being distributed in edinburgh. i didn't have too long on them, but it was quite a fun wee job, a nice change from the darker stuff i've been drawing lately.

Now in magical colour

I've recently been trying to improve my digital colouring skills to try and reach a level i'm happy with, I don't think i'm quite there yet, the schemes still seem to end up a bit stronger / darker than what i intend, but anyways, this is my latest attempt, the colour version of 'Willard':

And for desert, a character i've been working on for the egg crusher comic, an immortal soldier who has a pack of huge bear creatures under his control, can't wait to get to thatt part of the story...

Egg Crusher 4, 5 and 6

Here's a wee look at the next few pages for the Egg Crushers children comic. Again, no text until it becomes a real webcomic, this here's just a little taster.

3, 2, 1, Let's Jam

The first three pages of the comic 'The Egg Crushers Children', which i'm illustrating (very slowly, thank you full time employment) for the edinburgh based writer Chris McCance. I think once there's enough pages this will be getting it's own site as a webcomic so i won't be posting anything with text on here, don't want to give the story away, but there will be a link to the site once it's up and running.
